Jammu & Kashmir Govt Keeps Order on TET Nodal Agency in Abeyance Jammu & Kashmir Govt Keeps Order on TET Nodal Agency in Abeyance Srinagar | February 26, 2026 The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has kept in abeyance its recent order designating the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) / State School Standards Authority (SSSA) as the nodal agency for conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in the Union Territory. According to Government Order No. 87-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated February 26, 2026, the earlier Government Order No. 82-JK (Edu) of 2026 dated February 23, 2026 stands kept in abeyance until further orders. The decision means that the earlier order assigning JKBOSE/SSSA the responsibility of conducting TET has been temporarily put on hold. The order references a judgment dated September 1, 2025 passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No. 1385/2025 and connected matters titled Anjuman Ishat-E-Taleem Trust...

Jammu : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today inaugurated the “Sikh Cricket Premier League,” a commendable initiative organized by the All J&K Sikh Coordination Committee. Addressing the players and organizers, the Lieutenant Governor urged the youth to train with disciplined determination and compete with unbreakable unity, both on and off the field. He emphasized that sports serve as a powerful medium to promote brotherhood, social harmony, and mutual respect among communities. Minister Sakina Itoo Inaugurates Key PMGSY Road Project to Boost Rural Connectivity in J&K Kulgam, November 15: Minister of Education and Health, Sakina Itoo, today inaugurated the construction and maintenance work of L023–Tsimer Dandward KM 4th RD 600 to Zaindar, a crucial road project spanning 2.5 km under PMGSY (Package No. JK18-4029). The project, estimated to cost ₹530.42 lakh, aims to significantly enhance connectivity for residents living in remote areas. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister reaffirmed the Government’s strong commitment to improving rural infrastructure, ensuring better road access, and uplifting underserved communities across Jammu & Kashmir. She added that improved road connectivity will not only ease daily travel for locals but will also boost economic activities, healthcare access, and educational opportunities in the region.
