Gulmarg: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today participated in the inaugural ceremony of the Khelo India Winter Games held at the picturesque ski destination of Gulmarg.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted Jammu & Kashmir’s emergence as a premier hub for winter sports in the country. He reiterated the Government’s firm commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure across the Union Territory, ensuring better facilities and opportunities for young athletes.
Omar Abdullah emphasized that hosting national-level events like the Khelo India Winter Games not only promotes youth engagement in sports but also significantly boosts tourism and contributes to national integration.
