Ganderbal, February 24: The Chief Minister today inaugurated and laid foundation stones for a series of major development projects worth ₹8,440.94 lakh (₹84.41 crore) in Ganderbal district, marking a significant push towards strengthening infrastructure and public services in the region.
The projects span multiple sectors including roads, healthcare, education, drinking water supply, power infrastructure, and community development. Officials stated that these initiatives are aimed at improving connectivity, enhancing civic amenities, and accelerating socio-economic growth across both rural and urban areas of the district.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to balanced and inclusive development. He emphasized that timely completion and quality execution of projects remain top priorities, directing concerned departments to ensure strict monitoring and adherence to deadlines.
The Chief Minister noted that the sanctioned works will generate employment opportunities during the construction phase while also delivering long-term benefits to the people of Ganderbal.
He further assured that development efforts would continue at a fast pace, with special focus on strengthening grassroots infrastructure and improving essential public services.
Senior officers of the district administration, engineers, public representatives, and local residents were present on the occasion.
The inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony reflects the government’s sustained efforts to transform infrastructure and uplift living standards across Jammu and Kashmir.
