New Delhi: A tragic incident has come to light from Mukherjee Nagar, where a 1-year-9-month-old child, identified as Hadi, allegedly died after being strangled. The child’s aunt (mousi), identified as Azra, has been taken into custody in connection with the case.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred at the SFS Flats area park, where the accused woman was allegedly seen sitting with the child after the incident. Local residents grew suspicious and intervened, taking the child from her and rushing him to New Life Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police officials from Delhi Police reached the spot soon after receiving information. The accused woman was detained for questioning, and a detailed investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
The body has been sent to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital for post-mortem examination. Authorities stated that further legal action will be taken based on the medical report and investigation findings.
The incident has shocked local residents, and police are continuing their probe to determine the motive behind the alleged crime.
