Students across India who have applied for government scholarships have been advised to regularly check their application status on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) to avoid delays in verification or payment.
According to official guidelines, applicants can track their scholarship status by visiting the NSP website and logging in with their Application ID, password, and academic year. Once logged in, students can view the real-time status of their application, including stages such as submitted, under verification, approved, payment initiated, or amount credited.
Authorities have clarified that delays often occur due to incomplete documents, incorrect bank details, or Aadhaar not being linked with the student’s bank account. Students whose applications show “Under Verification” for an extended period are advised to contact their respective institutions for timely approval.
For applicants facing login issues or who have forgotten their password, the portal also provides an option to track payment status without logging in using the application ID or bank account details.
Officials have urged students to ensure that all personal details, certificates, and bank information are accurate and updated, as errors may lead to rejection or payment failure.
The National Scholarship Portal serves as a single digital platform for multiple central and state government scholarship schemes, aimed at ensuring transparency, efficiency, and timely disbursement of financial assistance to eligible students.
