Samba Police Attach Property Worth ₹46.48 Lakh of Notorious Drug Peddler Under NDPS Act


Samba, December 19, 2025: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Samba Police has attached a residential house and a car worth ₹46.48 lakh belonging to a notorious drug peddler under the provisions of the NDPS Act.


The attached properties include a residential house valued at approximately ₹42.86 lakh and an Alto car bearing registration number JK02CR-3823 valued at ₹3,62,293. The properties belong to Wali Mohd, son of Lal Hussain, a resident of Chak Murara, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu, presently residing at Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana, District Samba.


The action was taken under Sections 68-E read with 68-F of the NDPS Act, 1985, and is linked to FIR No. 173/2025 registered under Sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Bari Brahmana. During the investigation, the properties were identified as illegally acquired assets, prima facie generated from illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.


Police further stated that the accused is also involved in an assault on a police party at Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana, in connection with which FIR No. 36/2025 has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana. The accused is reportedly an associate of another notorious drug peddler, Masoom Ali alias Kala, against whom multiple NDPS cases are already registered in District Samba.


The attachment proceedings were carried out by a special team headed by the SHO, Police Station Bari Brahmana, under the supervision of the SDPO Bari Brahmana and the overall supervision of the SSP Samba.


This decisive action reflects the firm resolve of Samba Police to dismantle the drug network by targeting illegally acquired assets and deterring drug-related crimes. Local residents have appreciated and welcomed this strong initiative against drug peddlers.
