Jammu, November 4, 2025:
In a major success against the menace of drug trafficking, Miran Sahib Police has arrested a known drug peddler and recovered a significant quantity of heroin-like substance during a special anti-narcotics operation.
The accused, identified as Murad Ali, son of Nek Alam, resident of Kadyal, R.S. Pura, District Jammu, was apprehended at Tinday Kalan. Police recovered approximately 29.60 grams of heroin-like substance from his possession.
A case under FIR No. 143/2025 has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib under Sections 8, 21, and 22 of the NDPS Act. A detailed investigation has been initiated to trace the supply chain and identify both backward and forward links of the accused involved in the drug network.
The operation was carried out under the leadership of Inspector Azad Manhas, SHO Police Station Miran Sahib, and supervised by SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
Jammu & Kashmir Police has urged citizens to remain alert and report any drug-related activities in their areas. The successful operation reflects the department’s firm commitment to eliminating the drug menace and safeguarding the youth from its harmful effects.
