Deputy Commissioner Doda Inspects JKSSB OMR-Based Exam Centres for Constable Recruitment
Doda, December 8, 2024 – Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh, IAS, conducted an extensive inspection of the OMR-based examination centres set up by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) for the recruitment of Constables in the Home Department.

The examination, held across 42 designated centres in the district, witnessed the participation of 8,762 candidates aspiring for recruitment into the prestigious Home Department. The DC's inspection aimed to ensure that the recruitment process was conducted transparently, with utmost integrity and adherence to strict security protocols.

To maintain a fair and unbiased selection process, several measures were implemented, including:

1. Deployment of Adequate Security: Police personnel were stationed at all exam centres to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure smooth conduct.


2. Monitoring Mechanisms: The centres were equipped with CCTV cameras to monitor the proceedings in real time. Flying squads were deployed to conduct surprise inspections.


3. Examination Protocols: Candidates were required to adhere to strict guidelines, including verification of identity documents and biometric attendance to eliminate any possibility of impersonation.


4. Coordination Efforts: The district administration, in collaboration with JKSSB officials, ensured seamless logistical arrangements, including transport and seating plans.



Speaking on the occasion, DC Harvinder Singh emphasized the government’s commitment to conducting recruitment exams in a transparent and credible manner. He appreciated the efforts of the JKSSB team, security personnel, and invigilators for their coordinated efforts in ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination.

The aspirants, too, expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, stating that the process was well-organized and free from disruptions.

The recruitment drive is part of the government’s broader initiative to enhance employment opportunities and bolster the functioning of the Home Department in Jammu and Kashmir.

This transparent and robust selection process underscores the administration's dedication to fairness and meritocracy, ensuring deserving candidates are selected for the esteemed positions.
