Doda: The 78th anniversary of India's Independence was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor across the country today. The Sports Stadium in Doda also witnessed a vibrant celebration filled with national pride and joy. Chairman of the District Development Council (DDC) Doda, Shri Dhananter Singh Kotwal, hoisted the Tricolor and graced the occasion.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by an inspection of the parade by Shri Kotwal. He took the salute of various marching contingents. The march-past included Jammu and Kashmir Police, IR 5th Battalion, CRPF 76th Battalion, FPF, Home Guard, NCC College, NCC School, and students from various schools.
The event also featured cultural performances by children, who sang patriotic songs, adding more energy to the atmosphere. Several dignitaries, administrative officials, and local residents were present during the ceremony. The celebration of Independence Day saw everyone participate with a spirit of patriotism and excitement.
