Srinagar, January 6: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) leader and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, conducted an extensive tour of Fazul Haq Colony Batpora, Syed Meerak Shah Colony, and Habak Shanpora today.
During the tour, Salman Ali Sagar interacted with residents and inspected ongoing development works in the region. He assured the residents that the demands raised during his election campaign have been prioritized and that all promised initiatives will be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The MLA highlighted his commitment to addressing the grievances of the local population and improving the infrastructure in these areas. He stated, “Our aim is to ensure that every resident gets the basic facilities they deserve. We are working tirelessly to meet the expectations of the people and fulfill our promises.”
The visit saw active participation from various local party functionaries and officials from multiple government departments, including Roads and Buildings (R&B), City Roads, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL), Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA), Public Health Engineering (PHE), Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC), Social Welfare Department, Urban Environmental Engineering Department (UEED), Drainage Department, and Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD).
Key issues discussed during the tour included road maintenance, drainage system upgrades, electricity supply stabilization, water supply improvement, and welfare initiatives for underprivileged families. Salman Ali Sagar emphasized the need for a coordinated approach among the departments to expedite development works and ensure the timely delivery of services to the public.
Residents expressed their gratitude for the MLA’s proactive approach and hoped for the swift resolution of the issues they face. The tour is part of Salman Ali Sagar’s ongoing efforts to stay connected with his constituency and address their concerns at the grassroots level.
The MLA urged the officials to regularly monitor the progress of developmental projects and prioritize the needs of the local population. He reiterated the National Conference’s commitment to the holistic development of Hazratbal and other constituencies in the region.
