Srinagar, June 13: Jammu and Kashmir's Minister for Social Welfare, Sakeena Itoo, chaired a high-level meeting to review the implementation of various social welfare schemes, including the Old Age Pension, Ladli Beti, Integrated Social Security Scheme (ISSS), and others.
During the meeting, the Minister underscored the need for timely disbursal of payments to eligible beneficiaries, stressing that the dignity and inclusion of low-income individuals must remain at the heart of all welfare initiatives.
She directed officials to maintain transparency and accountability in the delivery system and ensure that no beneficiary is left behind due to procedural delays. Prompt and efficient service delivery was reaffirmed as a top priority.
Minister Itoo reiterated the government’s commitment to building an inclusive social welfare framework that supports the vulnerable and upholds their rights with respect and fairness.
