Nationwide Campaign ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ to Launch During 4th Good Governance Week 2024
The Government of India is set to launch a nationwide campaign titled ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ on December 19, 2024, as part of the 4th Good Governance Week 2024. The week-long programme, spanning from December 19 to 24, will include a series of events at the national, state, district, and tehsil levels, showcasing the government's commitment to improving public grievance redressal and enhancing service delivery across the country.

Key Highlights of the Campaign:

1. Launch and Scope:

The campaign, decentralized from the central Ministries/Departments under Special Campaign 4.0, will involve participation from over 700 District Collectors.

It will take place across all Districts, States, and Union Territories, focusing on the tehsil and panchayat levels to ensure grassroots involvement.



2. Objective:

Address public grievances effectively.

Improve service delivery mechanisms.

Inspire a national movement for Good Governance.



3. Preparatory Phase:

Scheduled from December 11 to 18, 2024, the preparatory phase will mark the inauguration of a dedicated portal (https://darpgapps.nic.in/GGW24) on December 11, 2024.

District Collectors will document and upload progress reports, governance practices, and video updates during this phase.



4. Implementation Phase:

From December 19 to 24, 2024, participating districts will focus on specific deliverables, including:

Disposing of applications related to service delivery.

Redressing grievances registered in state portals and CPGRAMS.

Adding new online services.

Sharing success stories and best practices in governance.




5. Workshops and Innovations:

On December 23, 2024, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions), will inaugurate a one-day workshop in New Delhi to showcase Best Practices during Special Campaign 4.0.

Concurrently, District Collectors nationwide will lead workshops on District-Level Innovations, emphasizing digital transformation and citizen empowerment.



6. Reports and Outcomes:

The event will witness the release of significant reports, including:

Assessment Report on Special Campaign 4.0.

Good Governance Index 2023.

Annual Report of CPGRAMS.


The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) will present achievements in decision-making efficiency and institutionalization of Swachhata, focusing on reducing pendency.




Significance:

The ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign marks the third nationwide effort to address grievances at the tehsil level, following its predecessors under the Good Governance initiative. This campaign aims to create a national movement for effective governance and service delivery, setting a benchmark for future generations.

The Government of India envisions this initiative as a transformative step toward making governance accessible and inclusive at the grassroots level.
