Reasi: Member of Parliament (MP) Yugal Kishore Sharma presided over the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting held in Reasi today. During the meeting, he reviewed the implementation and progress of various welfare schemes and initiatives launched by the Central Government.
MP Sharma urged the senior officials present in the meeting to work with dedication and a spirit of public service to ensure effective delivery of these schemes. He emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency, accountability, and timely execution of development projects.
The meeting witnessed the participation of newly elected MLAs, the District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, and several committee members. They raised significant developmental issues and shared proposals for various ongoing and upcoming projects.
During the discussions, key areas such as infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and rural upliftment were highlighted. Officials provided updates on the status of flagship programs, including PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana), PMGSY (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana), and MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act).
MP Sharma appreciated the collective efforts of all stakeholders and stressed the need for close coordination among departments to achieve holistic development in the district. The meeting concluded with assurances from officials to address pending issues and expedite work on priority projects for the benefit of the public.
