Kishtwar, 06-11-2024: An awareness program was organised at Nali Panchayat - Bounjwah, under the rolled out Model panchayat initiative of Deputy Commisioner Kishtwar Sh Rajesh Kumar Shavan-JKAS,which aims for the saturation of Key schemes in the 13 designated Panchayats in the district Kishtwar.
The Departments which collaborated collectively for the program included Handicrafts, Agriculture, Handloom, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Revenue, and other allied departments.
The program aimed to educate people about various departmental schemes in Handicrafts, Handloom, Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Revenue, and other allied areas.
During the event, District Officers from each department explained the eligibility criteria, procedures, and benefits of their respective departmental schemes. Pamphlets were distributed to participants by the Handicrafts and other Key Department.
The Agriculture Department ,led by the Chief Agriculture Officer,Kishtwar Amjed Hussain Malik also inaugurated a Kisan Khidmat Ghar (KKG) and distributed agricultural implements like sickles to farmers.
Artisans, farmers, and all participants were encouraged to establish their own units by availing of these departmental schemes, fostering opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
Among others,Chief Horticulture Officer Sajjid Mustafa,District Sheep Husbandry Officer Dr Jameel Nasir, AD Handicrafts Pardeep Kumar Shan besides other field officers of allied sectors.
