Spanish Air Force Chief of Staff Visits India for High-Level Talks
New Delhi, October 21, 2024: In a significant diplomatic and defense engagement, Air General Francisco Braco Carbo, Chief of Staff of the Spanish Air and Space Force, called on Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) of the Indian Air Force (IAF), today in New Delhi. The meeting, which took place at Air Headquarters, focused on issues of mutual interest, particularly concerning the enhancement of cooperation between the two air forces.
During the discussions, both leaders emphasized the long-standing relationship between India and Spain, particularly in the field of defense and security. They reviewed ongoing bilateral defense initiatives and explored new avenues for collaboration, including joint training programs, strategic dialogues, and the exchange of best practices in air operations and defense technology.

The meeting also highlighted opportunities for collaboration in space and aerospace technologies, reflecting Spain’s role in the European Space Agency (ESA) and India's expanding space programs. Both air chiefs reiterated the importance of strengthening ties to address evolving security challenges, including aerial defense, counterterrorism, and joint exercises in multinational environments.
