Kishtwar,August 18 , 2024 : The sacred Pavitra Charri (Holy Mace) of Annual Shree Machail Mata Yatra 2024 accompanied by numerous devotees reached today at Kishtwar amid religious and spiritual fervor of the locals and devotees.

The Civil and Police administration Kishtwar led by Deputy Commisioner Kishtwar Sh Rajesh Kumar Shavan-JKAS alongwith SSP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom-JKPS besides Senior officers and a large number of locals, warmly welcomed the Pavitra Charri here at Shalimar point of Kishtwar town offering their reverence and seeking blessings.

Additional Deputy Commisioner Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal, ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone, ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh, SDM Paddar Amit Kumar, IC Mata Yatra Cell Lovemeet Kotwal along with other officers and officials, were also present on the occasion to welcome the Holy Mace.

DC Kishtwar along with senior officers also served food and prashad at the Langer established at Shalimar to mark the respect and devotion for Pavitra Chhari and pilgrimage.

Thereafter Pavitra Charri proceeded to Shree Gori Shankar Mandir Sarkoot amid police security accompanied by Senior officers of Civil and police administration, where it will rest for the night. The procession will resume its journey for Paddar tomorrow.

The district administration lead by Deputy Commisioner Kishtwar Sh Rajesh Kumar Shavan-JKAS has extended its full support to ensure the smooth conduct of the Yatra, facilitating the devotees and ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place.
