In a press conference, Omar Abdullah said that BJP should listen to and respect the opposition's voice in Parliament rather than suppressing it. He accused BJP of trying to avoid serious issues in parliamentary debates and misusing its power.
He said, "In a democracy, all parties have the right to express their views, and Parliament should be a place where all issues can be discussed openly. BJP must understand that having power is not just about having a majority, but also about giving equal importance to the views of all sides."
Omar Abdullah stated that BJP should change its behavior to enable healthy and constructive debates in Parliament. He also mentioned that to maintain the dignity of democratic institutions, the ruling party must reconsider its actions.
In this press conference, Omar Abdullah discussed several other issues as well, but his main focus was on the need for BJP to change its attitude.
