Srinagar, April 02, 2026:

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has ordered a magisterial inquiry into an encounter incident that took place in Arhama area of Ganderbal district.

According to an official communication issued by the Home Department, the encounter occurred on April 1, 2026, resulting in the death of Raashid Ahmad Mughal, a resident of Chuntwaliwar Lar, Ganderbal.

The District Administration Ganderbal has been directed to conduct a thorough and impartial inquiry to ascertain the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.

A detailed report will be submitted to the Home Department
