Budgam, March 24, 2026:

In a major breakthrough, Budgam Police have successfully solved three theft cases, arrested the accused, and recovered stolen property worth around ₹6 lakh.

According to officials, multiple complaints of theft were reported over the past few months at Police Station Budgam. Following this, FIR Nos. 31/2026, 34/2026, and 50/2026 were registered, and investigations were launched.

During the probe, police analyzed CCTV footage and technical evidence, which helped identify and apprehend the accused. During interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in several thefts from residential houses.

Based on their disclosures, police recovered stolen items including copper utensils, electronic gadgets, and other household goods from various receiver-accused.

All accused are currently in police custody, and further investigation is ongoing to uncover their possible involvement in other cases.

Budgam Police have appealed to the public to stay alert and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
