Jammu/Srinagar, March 23, 2026:

The Directorate of Youth Services and Sports Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order cancelling all transfer, deployment, and attachment orders that were made without the approval of the competent authority.

According to the official order, it was observed that several employees, including lecturers, masters, teachers, REKs, NYCs, as well as clerical and multi-tasking staff, were transferred or deployed by subordinate officers without proper authorization. In some cases, inter-district transfers were also carried out, leading to irrational staff placements and adversely affecting departmental functioning.

Taking serious note of the issue, the department has directed that all such unauthorized transfers, deployments, and attachments stand cancelled with immediate effect. It has also been instructed that salaries should not be drawn or disbursed in favor of employees who were shifted through such invalid orders.

Further, all Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) have been directed to accept only those orders issued by the administrative department or the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports. To ensure authenticity, only digitally signed and properly numbered official orders will be considered valid.

The order, issued by Director General Anuradha Gupta (JKAS), aims to restore transparency, proper administrative control, and efficiency within the department.
