"Jammu and Kashmir Election: Peaceful Polls, CCTV Surveillance Ensures Transparent Counting"

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Electoral Officer P.K. Pole stated that CCTV cameras have been installed in each counting hall to ensure full transparency during the vote-counting process. He informed that the counting will begin at 7:30 AM with postal ballots, while the counting of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will start at 8 AM.

P.K. Pole mentioned that the elections were conducted in a completely peaceful environment. No candidate or political party faced any kind of problem. There was no violence reported anywhere during the elections, and peaceful and enthusiastic participation from the public was witnessed. He emphasized that people exercised their right to vote freely and without any fear.

The Election Officer also clarified that the entire counting process will be recorded on video to quickly resolve any disputes or concerns. He appealed to the public and political parties to maintain peace during the counting process and cooperate with the authorities.

Due to this peaceful electoral process, the roots of democracy in Jammu and Kashmir have been further strengthened, leading the state towards a new direction in democratic governance.
