Continuing its drive against illegal mining activities, Anantnag Police achieved a major success during a naka checking operation conducted by Police Station Aishmuqam at Badigam Aishmuqam.
During the operation, the police team intercepted and seized three tractors that were found transporting illegally extracted bajri (gravel) from Nallah Lidder. The vehicles were immediately taken into custody.
Following the seizure, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Aishmuqam, and further investigation has been initiated to identify all those involved in the illegal activity.
Police officials reiterated their commitment to taking strict action against illegal mining, which poses serious environmental and legal concerns. The department also urged the general public to cooperate and report any such unlawful activities to the nearest police station.
Anantnag Police emphasized that such operations will continue in the future to ensure strict enforcement of the law and protection of natural resources.
