New Delhi | March 2026:
The Government of India has issued a public notice regarding the constitution of the Eighth Central Pay Commission (8th CPC). According to the notice, the commission was officially formed through a government resolution dated November 3, 2025.
The terms of reference for the commission have been made available on its official website 8cpc.gov.in.
The commission has invited memorandums and representations from associations, unions of serving employees, pensioners, interested organizations, institutions, and individuals. Submissions must be made through an online structured format available on the 8cpc.gov.in website or via the MyGov portal (innovateindia.mygov.in).
Officials have clarified that only online submissions will be accepted, and physical copies, emails, PDFs, or hard copies of representations may not be considered by the commission.
The last date to submit memorandums or representations is April 30, 2026.
The notice has been issued by Manish Kumar, Director, Eighth Central Pay Commission.
The Eighth Pay Commission is expected to review the salary structure, allowances, and pension benefits of central government employees and pensioners across India.
