In a proactive initiative to spread awareness against drug abuse, Samba Police organized a debate competition at Central University Jammu, Rahya Suchani, District Samba under the Civic Action Programme (CAP). The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and university management.
The programme was presided over by SSP Samba, accompanied by Addl. SP Samba, SDPO Vijaypur, SHO PS Vijaypur, and other police officials. A total of twelve students participated in the debate, expressing their views on the harmful effects of drug abuse and the need for collective action to eradicate the menace.
At the conclusion of the event, prizes including mementos, medals, school bags, and certificates were awarded to the first, second, and third position holders, while the remaining participants were also felicitated for their commendable efforts.
Addressing the gathering, SSP Samba emphasized the commitment of Samba Police to curb drug trafficking through strict legal action and urged students to focus on their academic goals while staying away from substance abuse. The initiative was widely appreciated by the university authorities and attendees.
