Domana Crackdown: Jammu (Rural) Police Arrest Two Criminals, Recover Illegal Arms

In a major crackdown on criminal activities, Jammu (Rural) Police arrested two notorious criminals in separate operations under the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana and recovered three country-made pistols, live/fired ammunition, and a sharp-edged weapon.

Firing Incident at Grand Reeves Banquet Hall
On the intervening night of November 28, an unidentified individual opened fire inside Grand Reeves Banquet Hall at Udheywala, triggering panic among attendees. Acting promptly, police registered FIR No. 250/2025 under Section 3/25 Arms Act at Police Station Domana.

A team led by Insp. Varuneshwar, SHO Domana, apprehended the accused, identified as Sunny Sharma, son of Bansi Lal, resident of Marh. Based on his disclosure, police recovered two country-made pistols and live/fired cartridges. The accused is also linked to another case registered at PS Kanachak. Further investigations are underway to trace associates and weapon sources.

Arms Recovery During Naka Checking
In another operation on the intervening night of November 29, a naka at Bhagwati Nagar, Pounichak, established by IC PP Pouni Chak PSI Amreek Singh, intercepted a suspect identified as Jaskirat Singh alias Sanam, son of Inderjeet Singh, resident of Camp Gol Gujral, Jammu.

During personal search, police recovered one country-made pistol and a sharp-edged weapon (Toka). Subsequently, FIR No. 251/2025 under Sections 3/25 & 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Domana. The accused is also involved in two previous cases at PS Domana and PS Nowabad.

Police stated that further investigation is ongoing to identify the weapon supply chain and network connections.
