Budgam Police Hosts PCPG Meetings to Boost Community Cooperation

Budgam, December 01, 2025 — Budgam Police organized a series of Police–Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings across Police Stations Charar-i-Shareif, Beerwah and Police Posts Soibugh, Narbal, Mouchwa, Hardupanzo, and Humhama with an aim to strengthen police–public coordination and address local issues through collective discussion.

The meetings were chaired by respective jurisdictional officers and witnessed participation from prominent citizens, including representatives of market associations, Auqaf committees, Numberdars, chowkidars, and locals from adjoining areas.

Participants highlighted key civic issues such as shortages of drinking water, erratic electricity supply, traffic congestion, and the need for counselling and guidance programs for youth. Officers assured that all genuine concerns would be forwarded to concerned departments for timely resolution, while police-related issues would be addressed on priority.

Citizens were urged to extend full cooperation in maintaining peace and order, and in identifying anti-social and anti-national elements attempting to disturb harmony in the district.

Reaffirming their commitment to combating drug abuse, police officers encouraged public support in ongoing efforts to make Budgam a drug-free district. The participants appreciated Budgam Police for conducting such meaningful community interaction initiatives that promote transparency and mutual trust.
