Jammu, March 24, 2025: In a swift and efficient operation, Janipur Police have successfully cracked a broad daylight theft case, arresting the accused and recovering a significant portion of the stolen goods.
The case came to light on March 7, 2025, when a complaint was filed by Amarjeet Kour, a resident of Pandoka Colony, Janipur. She reported a theft at her residence, where burglars stole valuable gold ornaments, including a kitty set, chain with pendant, topas, kade, rings, and ₹3 lakh in cash.
Upon receiving the complaint, a dedicated team from Janipur Police Station, led by SDPO City West, SHO Janipur, SI Baldev Sharma, and others, immediately launched an investigation. By leveraging technical surveillance and human intelligence, the police meticulously traced the accused and apprehended them.
During the operation, the police recovered a substantial portion of the stolen gold jewelry and also seized the scooty used in the crime. The arrested individuals are currently in police custody as further investigations continue.
In an official statement, the police assured the public of their commitment to maintaining law and order. They also advised residents to avoid keeping large amounts of cash and valuables at home, urging them to utilize bank lockers for security. Additionally, they cautioned against keeping excess cash in savings accounts to prevent potential cyber fraud.
