Government Orders Repatriation of Teaching Staff Deployed in Administrative Roles Across Jammu & Kashmir
Srinagar, March 6, 2025: The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK), has issued a significant order directing the repatriation of all teaching staff currently deployed or attached for administrative work in various offices and departments.

The order, numbered 68-DSEK of 2025, dated March 6, 2025, follows a previous directive (51-DSEK of 2025) issued on February 22, 2025, under endorsement DSEK/Estt-III/B-Trs/Deploy/16/025/0436-55 dated February 21, 2025.

According to the directive, District Vigilance Officers and Additional District Vigilance Officers have been tasked with ensuring strict compliance with the repatriation instructions. They are expected to personally monitor the return of:

1. Teaching Staff currently engaged in administrative roles outside their parent institutions.


2. Non-Teaching Staff working outside their designated departments.



The compliance report regarding the repatriation process must be submitted by March 15, 2025, in the prescribed format.

Copies of the Order Sent to Key Officials:

The order has been circulated to key officials for information and necessary action, including:

The Financial Commissioner/ACS, School Education Department, J&K Civil Secretariat.

The Chief Accounts Officer, Directorate of School Education, Kashmir.

The Chief Education Officer of all concerned districts.

The District Vigilance Officers and Additional District Vigilance Officers for monitoring and compliance.


This directive is expected to impact various government offices where teaching staff have been engaged in non-teaching duties. The repatriation move aims to restore educators to their primary roles, ensuring the uninterrupted academic functioning of schools in the region.

This order aligns with the government’s broader efforts to streamline the education sector and ensure that teaching resources are utilized efficiently within their intended capacities.
