Rajouri, Feb 25: The Range Police Headquarters Rajouri successfully concluded a Volleyball Tournament at District Police Lines Rajouri, organized under the Civic Action Programme 2024-25. The tournament, which commenced on February 18, witnessed enthusiastic participation from teams representing Districts Rajouri and Poonch, aiming to promote sportsmanship and strengthen police-public relations.
The final match, played on February 25, was an intense contest between Choudhary Club Rajouri and Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club Poonch, where Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club Poonch emerged victorious.
The closing ceremony was graced by Sh. Tejinder Singh, IPS, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Headquarters Rajouri, along with Sh. Abhishek Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and Sh. Gaurav Sikarwar, IPS, SSP Rajouri. They commended the players for their dedication, perseverance, and exemplary sportsmanship. The officers highlighted the role of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition among the youth.
The event concluded with the distribution of trophies, medals, and cash prizes to the winners and runners-up. Appreciation was extended to all participating teams and match officials for their contribution to the success of the tournament.
