DC Udhampur Saloni Rai Reviews Implementation of Credit-Linked Schemes
Udhampur, December 6: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Udhampur, Saloni Rai, chaired a meeting today to review the implementation of various credit-linked schemes in the district. The review focused on ensuring the effective execution of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme, and the convergence of existing cases under the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) and Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIFF).

During the meeting, the DC emphasized the importance of resolving beneficiaries' concerns and instructed the officers to ensure timely approval of loan applications under the respective schemes. She stressed the need to enhance coordination between departments and banks to expedite the processing of applications and minimize delays.

Officials from various departments, including Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and allied sectors, attended the meeting. They presented updates on the progress of these schemes and highlighted challenges faced in their implementation.

DC Rai urged all stakeholders to adopt a proactive approach to facilitate seamless benefits for the beneficiaries. She also directed officers to conduct regular awareness programs to educate farmers and entrepreneurs about the schemes' benefits, eligibility criteria, and application processes.

The DC reiterated that the success of these schemes plays a vital role in boosting the district's agricultural and allied sectors, enhancing farmers' incomes, and promoting sustainable rural development.
