Srinagar | March 11, 2026:

JKNC General Secretary and MLA Khanyar, Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar, on Tuesday inaugurated the newly constructed building of Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHS) Nishat. The building has been completed at an estimated cost of ₹1.78 crore and is expected to significantly improve educational infrastructure for girl students in the area.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar along with senior officials from various government departments.

Speaking on the occasion, Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar emphasized the importance of strengthening educational infrastructure to provide better learning opportunities for students. He stated that the new building would help create a more comfortable and modern environment for girl students pursuing their education.

During the event, the MLA also announced an immediate grant of ₹10 lakh to further enhance the basic facilities at the school. The funds will be utilized for purchasing new benches and establishing a smart classroom, which will include computers and other modern equipment to support digital learning.

The initiative is expected to improve the quality of education and provide better facilities for students of the institution.
