Sopore, November 18, 2024: The Honourable Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sopore Constituency, Irshad Rasool Kar, paid a visit to Sopore Hospital today to review the healthcare facilities available to the public. The visit aimed to evaluate the functioning of various hospital units and ensure the delivery of quality medical services to the region.
During his visit, MLA Kar inspected critical areas of the hospital, including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), emergency wards, and other key sections. He examined the cleanliness standards, availability of medical equipment, and the efficiency of services provided to patients. The visit provided an opportunity for the legislator to gain a firsthand understanding of the hospital's infrastructure and operational challenges.
In his interaction with the Block Medical Officer (BMO) and other hospital staff, MLA Kar stressed the need for continuous improvement in healthcare delivery, particularly in emergency and critical care units. He underscored the importance of maintaining high standards in medical services and ensuring that the hospital remains well-equipped to serve the growing patient load.
“This hospital caters to a significant number of patients from Sopore and neighboring areas. Given its central location and importance, it is crucial to have adequate facilities and resources to address the healthcare needs of the people effectively,” MLA Kar stated during his address.
He further reiterated his commitment to the development of the health sector, emphasizing that it remains a priority not just for him personally but also for the National Conference government. “The development of the health sector is not only my top priority but also that of our National Conference government. We will not tolerate any compromise in providing better healthcare,” he asserted.
During the visit, MLA Kar also took time to interact with patients and their attendants, seeking their feedback on the healthcare services provided at the hospital. Many attendees expressed their concerns and shared suggestions for improving patient care, which the MLA assured would be addressed promptly.
