Dawanjeet Singh Appointed as Additional Private Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister
Jammu & Kashmir, October 21, 2024 — In a significant reshuffling, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an official order announcing the transfer of Shri Dawanjeet Singh, Administrative Officer from the Forest Protection Force, J&K. Singh has now been appointed as the Additional Private Secretary to the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister.

The General Administration Department (GAD) of Jammu and Kashmir issued Government Order No. 1801-JK(GAD) of 2024, formalizing the transfer. This order, signed by Sanjeev Verma, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, outlines that Dawanjeet Singh is relieved from his duties at the Forest Protection Force and will now serve under the Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister in a key administrative capacity.

This posting will be governed by the norms and conditions laid out in Government Order No. 268-GAD of 2015, dated March 4, 2015, which has been amended over time to meet the evolving administrative requirements.

As the Additional Private Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister, Dawanjeet Singh is expected to play a crucial role in assisting the Deputy Chief Minister in administrative duties, thereby strengthening the functioning of the Deputy Chief Minister’s office.

The order has been circulated to various departments, including the Administrative Secretary of the Forest, Ecology & Environment Department, Director of Forest Protection Force, J&K, and the Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief Minister, among others.
