Kathua, November 4: In view of the upcoming festivals and to ensure smooth traffic movement, the District Magistrate Kathua has issued an order imposing one-way traffic regulation from Shaheedi Chowk towards Mukherjee Chowk with immediate effect till November 12, 2026.

According to the order issued by Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rajesh Sharma (JKAS), the restriction has been imposed to prevent traffic congestion and facilitate smooth vehicular movement during the festive period.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua and District Traffic Inspector Kathua have been directed to ensure strict implementation of the order and make necessary arrangements for traffic regulation at designated points.

The order further states that any violation of the directions will be dealt with under the relevant provisions of law.

The traffic arrangement will remain in force until November 12, 2026.
