Srinagar, October 31, 2026: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a major administrative reshuffle involving six senior IAS and IPS officers, assigning new postings and additional responsibilities with immediate effect.

According to Government Order No. 1718-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated October 31, 2026, issued by the General Administration Department (All India Services Section), Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, the following transfers and postings have been ordered:

1. Sh. Shailendra Kumar, IAS (AGMUT: 1995): Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Finance Department, shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, till further orders.

2. Sh. Anil Kumar Singh, IAS (AGMUT: 1995): Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Public Works (R&B) Department, shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Power Development Department, till further orders.

3. Sh. Vikramjit Singh, IPS (AGMUT: 2004): Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department, shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, till further orders.

4. Sh. Mir Tariq Ali, IAS (AGMUT: 2010): Director General, Women and Child Development, J&K, is transferred and posted as Secretary in the Civil Aviation Department.

5. Sh. Mohammad Akbar Wani, IAS (AGMUT: 2013): Director, Social Welfare, Kashmir, is transferred and posted as Secretary in the Forest, Ecology and Environment Department.

6. Ms. Leena Padha, IAS (AGMUT): Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K, is assigned the additional charge of Mission Director, Skill Development Mission, in addition to her own duties, till further orders.

The order has been issued by the General Administration Department on behalf of the Lieutenant Governor and signed by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.

The order bears No. GAD-SERV0IAS/103/2026-01-GAD and has been made effective immediately.
