Gurah Slathian, October 28, 2026: Tiger Division organised a three-day Yuva Jagriti Abhiyan at Gurah Slathian from October 26 to 28 under Operation Sadbhavana, focusing on youth empowerment through awareness, education, skill development and sports.

Conducted under the themes “Digital Yuva, Jagrit Yuva” and “Fit Yuva,” the initiative aimed to promote holistic development, encourage positive community engagement and equip young people with knowledge and skills for the future.

The programme featured awareness sessions on drug abuse, digital and computer literacy, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cyber security. Participants were also introduced to drone technology. Experts from AIIMS Jammu and Central University of Jammu, along with Army personnel, contributed to the sessions, helping youth understand emerging technologies and make informed decisions.

Various government departments set up stalls to provide information about skill development, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship, healthcare, agriculture, banking services, traditional crafts, literacy and fisheries. The interactions helped participants learn about government schemes, self-employment opportunities and avenues for personal and professional growth.

The concluding day featured a Sports Mela, with competitions in volleyball, kabaddi, satoliya, badminton, chess, shot put, sprint races and football. The programme concluded with a closing ceremony and prize distribution to recognise participants and encourage sporting talent.
