Samba, October 18, 2026: In a move to curb the illegal transportation of forest produce, Samba Police seized a vehicle loaded with Khair wooden logs allegedly being transported without valid permission in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana.

According to officials, a police team from Police Station Bari Brahmana, while conducting routine patrolling near Kala Gate in the Barjani area, intercepted a Mahindra Pickup bearing registration number JK02AN-4780 for checking.

During the inspection, the police found Khair wooden logs loaded inside the vehicle. The logs were allegedly being transported without the requisite permission.

The driver was identified as Imran Khan, son of Ghar Din, a resident of Badhori, Tehsil Bari Brahmana, District Samba.

The vehicle was seized and subsequently handed over to the Forest Department, Samba, for further legal proceedings.

Samba Police reiterated its commitment to curbing the illegal transportation of forest produce and taking action against violations of the law.
