Srinagar, October 6, 2026: A delegation of the Kashmir Jurists Bar Association (KJBA) called upon the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Hon’ble Justice Dr. Pushpendra Singh Bhatia, on Monday and extended a warm welcome and best wishes on his assumption of office.

The delegation was led by Adv. Altaf Ganderbali, President, KJBA, and accompanied by Adv. Tajamul Choudhary, Chief Coordinator, KJBA, along with senior advocates and other members of the Bar.

During the meeting, the delegation discussed several issues concerning the welfare and professional interests of advocates, strengthening the justice-delivery system, speedy disposal of cases and timely delivery of justice.

The KJBA delegation expressed hope that under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, the High Court and subordinate judiciary would continue to work towards ensuring efficient, accessible and timely justice, while addressing genuine concerns related to the welfare and working conditions of members of the Bar.

The delegation assured the Hon’ble Chief Justice of its continued cooperation and constructive support in strengthening the rule of law, judicial administration and the legal fraternity.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with the KJBA reaffirming its commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving the overall functioning of the justice-delivery system in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
