Jammu, October 30: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has reconstituted the Board of Directors of the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO) through Government Order No. 1702-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated October 30, 2026.

According to the order issued by the General Administration Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu and Kashmir, the reconstitution has been carried out in terms of Articles 113 and 114 of the Articles of Association of JKTPO, superseding previous orders issued on the subject.

As per the new composition, the Minister-in-Charge, Industries and Commerce Department, will serve as the Chairperson of the Board, while the Administrative Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, will be a Director.

Other members of the reconstituted Board include the Administrative Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department; Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department; Managing Director, J&K Trade Promotion Organisation; Directors of Handicrafts and Handloom, Kashmir and Jammu; and representatives of the Finance Department and Agriculture Production Department, not below the rank of Additional Secretary.

The order also provides that any other Director deemed necessary may be co-opted by the Chairperson.

The government order has been issued by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department.

The reconstitution is aimed at ensuring representation of key government departments in the functioning and decision-making process of the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation.
