Directorate of School Education Jammu Announces Uniform Date Sheet for Summative Assessment of Classes 1st to 9th

JAMMU, OCTOBER 02: The Directorate of School Education Jammu has issued a notification announcing a uniform date sheet for the Summative Assessment for Classes 1st to 9th in all Government and Private Recognized Schools falling under the Winter Zone of Jammu Division.

As per the notification, the examinations will be conducted between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, depending on the timing and duration of the respective paper.

The assessment schedule notified by the Directorate is as follows:

For Classes 1st to 9th:

12 October 2026 – Mathematics

13 October 2026 – English

14 October 2026 – Kashmiri/Dogri/Local Language

15 October 2026 – EVS for Classes 3rd to 5th and Science for Classes 6th to 9th

17 October 2026 – Hindi/Urdu

19 October 2026 – Social Sciences for Classes 6th to 9th

21 October 2026 – Vocational Education for Class 9th

For Classes 1st and 2nd, the assessment will cover Mathematics, English, Kashmiri/Dogri/Local Language and Hindi/Urdu as per the notified schedule.

For Classes 3rd to 5th, EVS has been scheduled on October 15, while Social Sciences are not listed for these classes in the notified date sheet.

For Classes 6th to 8th, Science has been scheduled on October 15 and Social Sciences on October 19.

For Class 9th, the assessment includes Science on October 15, Social Sciences on October 19 and Vocational Education on October 21.

The Directorate has directed all Government and Private Recognized Schools of the Winter Zone of Jammu Division to follow the uniform date sheet for the Summative Assessment.

The notification has been issued by the Directorate of School Education Jammu, Muthi Camp, Jammu, and circulated to the concerned education authorities and institutions for information and necessary action.

Students, parents and teachers have been advised to take note of the examination schedule and make necessary preparations accordingly.
