Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign Launched in Samba to Promote Cleanliness and Public Participation



SAMBA, SEPTEMBER 17: The Swachhata Hi Seva campaign was formally launched in District Samba today with a renewed emphasis on cleanliness, sanitation and active community participation.

The campaign is being undertaken under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, with the objective of strengthening public awareness and encouraging collective responsibility towards maintaining clean and hygienic surroundings.

The launch programme was organised by ACP Samba, Sh. Rafiq Ahmed Jaral, under the chairmanship of ADDC Samba, Ms. Champa Devi. The programme was attended by the Project Officer, ICDS, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) and all Block Development Officers (BDOs) of District Samba.

During the programme, participants were sensitised about the importance of cleanliness, sanitation and responsible waste management. A detailed PowerPoint presentation was also delivered, highlighting the objectives of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign and outlining the various activities proposed to be undertaken during the campaign period.

The proposed activities were discussed in detail to ensure coordinated implementation, effective public outreach and meaningful participation of communities across both rural and urban areas of the district.

As part of the campaign, ADDC Samba, Ms. Champa Devi, flagged off a Swachhata Van dedicated to spreading awareness about cleanliness and sanitation among the public. The vehicle will visit different areas of the district to promote responsible sanitation practices and encourage citizens to actively participate in cleanliness initiatives.

The Swachhata Hi Seva campaign seeks to strengthen the spirit of collective responsibility and community participation by mobilising citizens and stakeholders towards cleaner, healthier and more sustainable surroundings across District Samba.
