Sumb, September 22: A colourful programme was organised today at Modern Institute of Education (MIE), Sumb, on the eve of the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji.

The programme began with floral tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh Ji. In the presence of Chairman MIE Sumb, Sh. Narinder Singh, students presented patriotic songs, speeches and Dogri folk dances highlighting the life, contributions and reforms of the Maharaja.

Students also spoke about the life and achievements of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji and highlighted his contribution towards education and social reforms. Speakers threw light on his important initiatives, including efforts to promote education and measures aimed at ending child marriage and untouchability.

The Principal addressed the students and said that Maharaja Hari Singh Ji was a visionary ruler whose emphasis on education and social reforms continues to inspire generations.

The programme concluded with a message for students to learn from the life, values and contributions of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji and work towards building a progressive and responsible society.
