Samba: SSP Samba Anuj Kumar chaired a meeting with police officers and reviewed various aspects of policing and security arrangements in the district. During the meeting, he stressed the need for alert, proactive and professional policing to effectively tackle emerging challenges and maintain law and order.
The SSP directed officers to adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards gangsters, drug smugglers and other anti-social elements and take strict legal action against those involved in criminal activities.
He also reviewed the status of records pertaining to the International Border (IB) areas and instructed the concerned officers to ensure that all records are properly updated and maintained.
Emphasis was also laid on improving traffic discipline. The SSP directed officers to launch effective enforcement drives against traffic rule violations and ensure strict compliance with road safety norms.
While reviewing cases registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), SSP Anuj Kumar called for expediting investigations and ensuring that cases are handled professionally and brought to their logical conclusion within the prescribed legal framework.
The SSP stressed that coordinated efforts, field-level vigilance and timely action are essential for strengthening security and ensuring the safety of the public across Samba district.
