Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Women’s Wing President and MLA Habba Kadal, Advocate Shameema Firdous, today inaugurated the newly constructed building of Government Girls Higher Secondary School at Aishai Kocha, Fateh Kadal.

Constructed at a cost of ₹1.28 crore, the new school building replaces the old and highly dilapidated structure, which had necessitated the construction of a new facility.

The project was completed within a short period of seven months through the efforts of MLA Shameema Firdous, providing students with a safer and more conducive environment for learning.

The three-storey building comprises 11 classrooms, one hall and 10 bathrooms, along with other essential facilities. CCTV surveillance has also been installed to strengthen the safety and security of the students.

The inauguration marks an important step towards improving educational infrastructure and providing better facilities for girl students in the area.
