New Delhi: State Bank of India (SBI) offers the Har Ghar Lakhpati scheme, a variant of its Recurring Deposit (RD) designed to help customers accumulate ₹1 lakh or more through small monthly deposits.
The scheme allows customers to choose a deposit period ranging from 3 to 10 years. The interest rate is applicable as per SBI’s prevailing term-deposit rates, while other conditions follow the bank’s existing RD rules.
Under SBI’s RD rules, the minimum monthly instalment is ₹100, in multiples of ₹10. The scheme is aimed at encouraging disciplined monthly savings without requiring customers to invest a large amount at one time.
