Rajouri: Member of Parliament from the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha Constituency, Mian Altaf Ahmad, today released “The Mahnoor,” the annual school magazine of PM SHRI Higher Secondary School Fatehpur, during a programme held at the school premises.

The event was attended by Chief Education Officer Rajouri Mohd Hafeez Sheikh, District Sports Officer Wali Mohd., DEPO Rajouri Sardari Lal Dutta, Principal BHSS Rajouri Mohd Muslim Wani, former DDC Chairman Rajouri Naseem Liaqat Choudhary, former DDC Member Abdul Rasheed, retired Degree College Principal Prof. Dr. M.K. Waqar, besides retired government officers, former PRI members, educationists and other distinguished guests.

Welcoming the guests, Principal PM SHRI HSS Fatehpur Gulzar Ahmed Qasmi highlighted the school’s academic achievements, sporting accomplishments, co-curricular activities, innovative initiatives and efforts towards the holistic development of students.

The annual magazine “The Mahnoor” showcases the academic, literary, creative, sporting and co-curricular achievements of the institution while providing a platform for students and staff to showcase their talent and creativity.

On the occasion, MP Mian Altaf Ahmad felicitated NEET qualifier Aamna Choudhary for her academic achievement and Toseef Khan, a promising boxer of the institution who has qualified at the UT level for participation at the national level. He congratulated both achievers and encouraged them to continue working hard and striving for excellence.

Addressing the gathering, the MP advised students to remain focused, disciplined and dedicated towards their goals. He appreciated the Principal and teaching and non-teaching staff for their efforts towards the academic and overall development of students.

The MP also assured support for the reconstruction and improvement of the school playground, emphasising the importance of sports infrastructure in promoting physical fitness and nurturing sporting talent among students.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Waseem Hussain Mirza, who expressed gratitude to the MP, education officers, distinguished guests, staff and students for their participation and support.
