Samba, September 19, 2026: Under the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Samba Surjeet Singh Slathia today addressed a massive gathering of devotees, local residents and community leaders at the historic Sanerki Temple premises.

During his address, the MLA emphasized the importance of Jan Bhagidari (community participation) in making villages and towns clean and garbage-free. He said that cleanliness is not merely a government programme but a shared civic duty and a responsibility towards society and the environment.

The MLA called upon local residents, community organisations, Panchayati Raj Institutions and other stakeholders to actively participate in sanitation initiatives and contribute towards creating cleaner and healthier surroundings.

Following the public address, MLA Surjeet Singh Slathia formally inaugurated several key development and sanitation projects aimed at upgrading local infrastructure, improving waste disposal systems and enhancing facilities for visitors and pilgrims at the temple complex.

Local representatives, Panchayat members, community leaders and officials of the temple committee were present on the occasion.

The programme reaffirmed the importance of collective public participation in strengthening sanitation, improving civic amenities and promoting the message of Swachhata at the grassroots level.
