JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 17: MLA Nagrota Constituency Devyani Rana has shared an update regarding the laying of the foundation stone for permanent restoration works of various water supply schemes affected by damages during August-September 2025.

According to the post shared by the MLA, the restoration works are being undertaken under the Central Scheme SASCI (Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment) and cover areas falling under the jurisdictions of Nagrota and Jammu East Assembly Constituencies.

The project comprises a total of 23 works with an advertised cost of ₹1.29 crore (₹129.66 lakh).

The foundation stone-laying ceremony was held in the presence of J&K Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Sh. Javed Ahmed Rana; MLA Jammu East Sh. Yudhvir Sethi; Chief Engineer PHE Sh. Mohammad Hanif; XEN Sh. Rashpaul Singh, besides concerned officials and other dignitaries.

As per the information shared by MLA Devyani Rana, the restoration project is aimed at undertaking permanent works for water supply infrastructure damaged during August-September 2025.

The project is expected to strengthen the affected water supply infrastructure and support improved water supply services in the concerned areas.
