Jammu, September 28, 2026: The Directorate of School Education Jammu has ordered revised school timings for all Government and recognised private schools up to Higher Secondary level across the Jammu Division, effective from October 1, 2026.

As per Order No. 34-DSEJ of 2026 dated September 26, 2026, schools falling under the Summer Zone will operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Schools located in the Winter Zone will observe timings from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The order applies to both Government and recognised private schools. The Directorate has warned that any deviation from the prescribed timings will invite action against the concerned institution under the rules in vogue.
