J&K Govt Places Three Section Officers as Incharge Under Secretaries

Srinagar, September 3, 2026: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the placement of three Section Officers of the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service as Incharge Under Secretaries, in their own pay and grade, with charge allowance as admissible under rules.

According to Government Order No. 1479-JK(GAD) of 2026, the arrangement has been approved for a period of six months or until the vacancies in the J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service-I (Under Secretaries Cadre) are filled on a regular basis, whichever is earlier. 

The officers are Bashir Ahmad Rather, Javeed Sidiq and Ravi Kumar. 

The Government clarified that the arrangement is temporary and does not confer any preferential right to hold the posts on a substantive basis or claim promotion. The officers will continue at their present places of posting until further orders.
